About

Jack has been in small business all of his life working for someone else only about four years over a span of 38 years. He has owned service companies in years past but last year moved to the world of internet marketing. “There has been a lot to learn but I started with a commitment to do whatever it takes to learn about this new marketing environment.

It has been exciting as I’ve been reading, learning, testing and growing. I continue to be amazed at how fast things happen in this environment as compared to the old offline ways of doing business. Recently, a most crucial piece has been put into place as I’ve connected with a team of like-minded, knowledgeable professionals with a powerful systematic approach, many call this a mastermind group and that really is  applicable.  In the internet world one really does need a team to succeed in a big way as there is simply too much to learn and absorb as a lone ranger.

After selling his last business, a sales agency, in 1995, Jack wrote a starter book – Building a Purposeful Business for those desiring to move out of the J.O.B. world and into their own businesses. This book is an open reflection of who Jack is sharing not only his victories but what he calls “his dumb mistakes”, so others might learn from his trailblazing. It’s most practical and now that he is leading others in small business ventures he makes this book available to any potential team members (now available as an e-book). Jack is currently working on a new book: “What’s Next”, for those turning fifty-ish, encouraging those who may be ready to slow down their main worklives, semi-retire or completely retire, to approach this second half of the journey with a view to using there abilites what has been learned to teach and help others.

Jack and his wife Linda have been married for 37 years and now have had the privilege of watching Eric, Danielle, Michelle & Ange move on with their lives thoroughly enjoying some of the newest members of the family, now 1-3 years old.

Jack believes that life really just gets going when one reaches fifty, children are now adults, money may not be quite the issue it was earlier and dreams of doing what one really wants and enjoys can be realized during this most exciting second half of life. A new freedom is derived from past experiences, successes and failures for those who want to pursue it. Jack believes we are designed to work and fulfill a purpose bigger than we are and to enjoy that which we do is part of the design.

In the past few years, licensed in securities and financial advisory, Jack met a few folks who are actually living lives of freedom and purpose with dreams to do even more, but most are not. It may be fear of change, fear of the unknown, or fear of failure that holds people back. It may be that their finances are not quite where they had hoped or expected. Most people though are so involved in the day-day stuff of life – earning an income, cares of daily life, injuries, losses, that they simply have not stopped to consider What’s Next.

For many, not too much thought has been given to the idea that previous life experiences, personal purpose, desires, hopes and dreams may be longing to come out and be expressed in new and challenging ways. Each of us who have been uniquely blessed to have something very special to offer the world in which we live. Those who may not feel they themselves have nothing unique or feel they have not been blessed may only need to open their eyes and take another look. Jack is convinced that no matter where we are or what we’ve done there is much more to learn and to do.

In an effort to formalize his thoughts and develop this idea further, Jack recently attended a weekend with the world renowned transformer of small business enterprise, Michael Gerber who founded EMyth Worldwide over 25 years ago. Michaels newest book, Awakening the Entrepreneur Within has totally transformed Jack’s thinking about where he is now headed with concepts he has been pondering for years. Jack’s dream is that the over fifty-ish (baby boomers) community become even more productive, resourceful, energized and service-oriented seeking ways to give back for the many blessings we’ve been able to enjoy. He is leading, encouraging and inspiring people everyday in this new heartfelt venture. (Ask Jack for a copy of Michaels’ book!)

“We are living in a new age (the age of the entrepreneur) and for those who still need an income, I can point you to ways to supplement, replace or catapult your income depending on your desires. For those simply desiring to find volunteer work in their own community or for those who have a huge dream, I can provide you with the direction you need to get started as long as you are teachable and open to change”.
